Lowe apparently asked Carl Leffler, a Columbia University mathematics professor to help him expand the number of winning combinations in the game. Leffler was enormously successful in his work and has developed at least 6,000 different Bingo cards by 1930.

Calculate the value of a hand
To determine the value of your blackjack game, simply add the value of each card. Cards numbered from 2 to 10 count their face value. Aces can be worth either 1 or 11, player’s choice. Finally, Figures (jack, queen, king) are 10.
